Skin Cancer

There are three types of skin cancer; BCC (Basal Cell Carcinoma), SCC (Squamous Cell Carcinoma) and Melanoma. The nature of these cancers varies in severity. Basal Cell Carcinomas are the most common type of skin cancer and are slow growing. Squamous Cell Carcinomas can spread to other parts of the body if left untreated. Melanoma is an aggressive form of skin cancer that can sometimes spread rapidly and become life threatening. Advice and treatment from your dermatologist is vital in managing any skin cancer.
